Des
and Gail Kynaston were not sorry that they invested
their time and money establishing Kynaston Engineering
at 26 Ginger Street Paget in Mackay years ago. The couple
built their dream on the confidence they had in the
economic strength of the Mackay region and developing
growth opportunities. Des and Gail who have spent most
of their life here, have raised a family, created local
employment opportunities and gone on to deliver the
necessary service to the industrial and commercial sectors
of the region, starting his own business in 1980and
then his own Company in 1996.
Des
has had forty years personal experience as a machinist;
and now has employed 11 people consisting of Tradesmen
Machinists, Tradesman Fitter/Welder, Tradesmen Boilermaker;
Apprentice Fitters and Turners. We have competent office
staff that are in reception during business hours, a
Sales Manager who is always available to talk specifically
about customers needs.
We
have had many years of experience in this industry and
we are one of the leading engineering shops in Mackay.
Our company operates from a large workshop at Paget
that is equipped with the latest equipment and machinery
capable of catering for all engineering needs; these
include: three forklifts with lift capacities up to
2.5 tonne, vehicles for service needs. We have just
invested in a brand new CNC turning centre which is
capable of producing parts at competitive prices. Other
equipment include high speed centre lathes, milling
machines equipped with all the tooling and boring heads,
a horizontal borer, hydraulic pressers of different
tonnes, all the equipment for producing fast internal
keyways, high speed tapping equipment to produce threads
easily and economically, a fully automatic bandsaw which
will cut our steel or your steel to your requirements,
a profile cutter that can produce shapes from a drawing.
We also have welding equipment which gives us the flexibility
of using mig wire, manual stick, tig welding and arc
gouging and oxyacetylene welding and cutting and can
perform all types of welding on all metals including
cast iron, stainless steel, copper.
